Treats to Indulge In

Has anyone else been majorly craving food that isn't necessarily "good" for you during the 'Stay at Home' mandate? Obviously this isn't going to be your average interior design blog post, but we thought it would be fun to share some yummy treats everyone can make and indulge in! These recipes are by no means healthy, but there are definitely ingredients you can substitute with healthier alternatives.

Almond Thumbprint Cookies

Just a warning, once you have one of these'll probably end up eating 5 or 6, they're THAT good. The recipe shows them made with raspberry jam but you can use whatever flavor sounds good or that you have on hand. The almond extract in the cookies makes them taste fresh and healthier than they actually are ;)

Dirty Chai Muffins

If you like things that aren't too sweet, these muffins are for you! They curb a sweet craving without being over the top, and don't make you feel crappy after eating one. The chai spices make for a more mature treat and are a great addition to pair with a cup of coffee. We recommend adding a little maple syrup into the glaze for added flavor!

Cinnamon Roll Coffee Cake

With the amount of butter and sugar in this recipe there's no way it could be bad ;) Which is absolutely true this coffee cake is AMAZING, like melt in your mouth amazing. Something the kids would enjoy too! This is probably the worst recipe for you on the list, but hey that's okay once in a while right? It's all about moderation.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Where are all of our chocolate lovers at?! Chocolate and banana is never not good together let's be real. Keep in mind with this recipe, you can always take out the chocolate chips and just make a good old fashion banana bread which would also be amazing. OR if you want even more of a chocolatey flavor you can melt down the chocolate chips and incorporate that evenly into the batter!

Let us know if you make any of these recipes! Send us photos, leave a comment.....we'd love to know if you loved any of these recipes. Things are definitely slow over here with everything going on as we aren't able to meet with clients or go to job sites, but we're still chugging along with some of the behind the scenes stuff which we sometimes share over on our Instagram @naomiewertinteriors! Stay tuned for next week's post.....
