Summer is officially here, and we're definitely feeling it with this recent heat wave in the Bay Area.
With Independence Day quickly approaching this weekend, we're excited to share some fun drink recipes that can be served at any pool party, BBQ, or tailgate with friends and family. Here are some fun and festive drink recipes to celebrate the upcoming holiday or keep the party going all summer long.
Firecracker Milkshakes
Perfect for kids and adults alike, this one is a classic vanilla milkshake turned red, white, and blue. All you need is your favorite vanilla ice cream and red & white food coloring. Allow the ice cream to thaw to a soft serve consistency, and mix in each of the different colors. No blender needed, and kids will love making them.
Wine Spritzer
Take any bottle of dry white wine you have lying around, add simple syrup, chop up a few strawberries, throw in some blueberries, top with club soda and mint and you have yourself a quick and easy wine spritzer. A great option if you're wanting something lower ABV.
Layered Jello Shots
This one is a super fun dessert shooter made of layers of red, white, and blue Jello and topped with whipped cream and sprinkles (not to mention a little vodka)! It's best to make this the night before so the Jello has plenty of time to set before eating.
Blackberry Mojito
A twist on the classic Cuban cocktail, this version of the mojito features muddled blackberries. You can also swap out the blackberries for strawberries, raspberries, or pretty much any other fruit you desire!
